I am a criminal defense attorney. Working with accused people who need a break and someone to stand and speak up for them. In a smaller town we have the same needs as anywhere else. Not everyone is equipped to stand before the court and explain the other side of the story. Guilty or not, we all deserve to “have our day in court” and be heard by a “jury of our peers”. No matter our income or status, our wonderful country affords us ALL “equal protection under the law”. How wonderful it is to be a citizen of such a fair and equitable country.
